As the national job market continues to strengthen, Business Career Connections is also expanding. In order to better serve undergraduates, graduates, and alumni, BCC added Marci Grant to the team.

“I knew when I first walked in that I needed to be here. There is so much diversity and the Business School has vibrant energy in a true urban environment.  CU Denver is unique in that it is located in the thriving business center of Colorado.”

Following graduation from DU, Grant attended culinary school. “I love to cook, but it’s hard to work long hours when you’re starting a family.” She instead entered the executive recruiting market in Denver during the Dot-com boom. Grant has filled nearly every position within a company, from entry-level to vice-president and president positions.

By adding Grant to the team, BCC is able to increase the number of students, alumni, and employers it serves. “What I love about working within the BCC team is we offer much more than helping students find a job. We offer coaching to students to be able to discover career opportunities. Through targeted research of potential companies, creation of a job acquisition plan, interactive interview preparation, networking and aiding students on how to  market themselves as a brand, which is a critical skill that they will use continuously throughout their career. ”
