The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has awarded a 2014-2015 Outstanding Student Chapter Award designation to the University of Colorado Denver Business School SHRM student chapter for providing exceptional growth and development opportunities to its student chapter members.
“We had a comprehensive list of objectives to complete from April 1, 2014 to March 31, 2015 to effectively compete nationally – and we did so. Our officers did a wonderful job in leading this effort – I am very pleased,” stated Virg Setzer, adjunct faculty member and advisor to the chapter.

The Business School SHRM student chapter receives a digital logo for use in electronic or print communications, a recognition plague, and will be recognized in SHRM’s publications and at its national conference later this summer.
SHRM is the world’s largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 275,000 professional and 20,000 student members in over 160 countries, the association serves the needs of HR professionals and advances the interests of the HR profession.
The Denver Business School chapter has been a Top 10 SHRM chapter and serves students by providing (1) opportunities for networking with business professionals, faculty, and other students; (2) opportunities for scholarship, internship, and employment; (3) opportunities for Business management and HR professional development by having access to information about HR and business management professions. The UCD SHRM Student Chapter is affiliated with the Mile High SHRM Professional Chapter.
