CU Denver Business School Faculty Member Named Life Fellow of AHRI

Picture of Dr. Wayne CascioDr. Wayne Cascio, the Robert H. Reynolds Chair in Global Leadership and Professor of Management at the University of Colorado Denver Business School was recently named a Life Fellow of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).This is a prestigious appointment, as there are currently only 33 living Life Fellows of AHRI. In fact, AHRI Life Fellowship is the most distinguished award the institute bestows. According to AHRI, Life Fellowship is only awarded to individuals who are recognized for excellence in the area of human resources, and who have made a highly distinguished and nationally or internationally recognized contribution and impact on the human resources profession over a substantial number of years.

Cascio received the award at a “Global Leaders Dinner” during the World HR Congress in Melbourne, Australia. He has done six speaking tours for AHRI over the years, speaking in all the major cities and some not-so major, like Darwin and Alice Springs, and has had four cover stories in their monthly magazine. AHRI are such big supporters of Cascio’s work, they made an exception in their rules to name Cascio a Life Fellow. Normally, only Australian citizens are eligible to receive this prestigious distinction. Cascio is certainly deserving of this award, one of many similarly prestigious awards he has received over the years for his contributions to the human resources field.
