The MBA Student Organization (MBASO) at the University of Colorado Denver Business School will host its first “Troliday” Party on Thursday, December 13, 2012. The “Troliday”—a derivation of trivia and holiday—Party will be held in the back room of Old Chicago, located at 1415 Market Street, in downtown Denver, beginning at 6:30pm.
Attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes by answering business themed trivia questions and identifying business-related songs and videos. In addition to the fun and excitement provided by the trivia, the MBASO will provide attendees with free pizza, salad, and non-alcoholic beverages.
MBASO Officers Sonny Shi (Vice President) and Nathan Stern (Treasurer) created the trivia questions and will MC the event.
“While we can’t discuss the specific questions themselves, we can say that business students will need to be familiar with Colorado’s business history, as well as the current business climate and players in Denver and beyond,” Stern said. “Each round will have a theme, and the game will have visual and audio rounds in addition to good old fashioned question answering. One round will also have a speed component!”
“We want to thank the Business School for co-sponsoring the event with the MBASO,” said Stern. “Any business student, or aspiring business student, who wants to have a great time, network, and test their knowledge against some of the best young minds in Colorado should come to the event.”
The MBASO Troliday Party will provide students with a great way to relax and blow off steam at the end of the Fall semester. The event will also offer current students and alumni the opportunity to network. “It has been another great year for the MBASO,” says Shi. “As a campus organization dedicated to supporting business graduate students, we want to celebrate the successes of our colleagues in the spirit of the holiday season. We hope students and alums come to have fun, congratulate each other, and be merry!”
“The MBASO would like to offer our continued thanks to the faculty, students, and alumni of the University of Colorado Denver who continue to support our mission and vision,” says Shi. “We’ll see you at the party… and Happy Trolidays!“
