DENVER – The Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship recently announced that it will offer scholarship awards to students registered in graduate entrepreneurship classes during the summer of 2014—including Maymester classes. This represents a great opportunity for students, both current and prospective, to learn about entrepreneurship from the phenomenal faculty at the Jake Jabs Center. The Center offers 18 AACSB International accredited graduate-level courses, providing degree and non-degree students multiple options in Entrepreneurship Studies.

To apply, students should send their applications to Sarah Engel at sarah.engel@ucdenver.edu, providing the following information—not to exceed one page.

1.       Your current CU and transfer GPA (if applicable);
2.       The classes you plan to register for;
3.       How the entrepreneurship program/certificate will benefit you (limited to 300 words);
4.       Your current status; degree or non-degree student.

Deadline for submitting applications is May 1, 2014.

Awards are typically for $500 per class and will be distributed after census date.

The Jake Jabs Center has also announced a new scholarship award for CU Denver staff during the summer: current faculty and staff members in the University of Colorado-Denver system will be awarded a scholarship of $750 per graduate entrepreneurship class automatically after the census date.  However, faculty and staff members must let the Jake Jabs Center know before classes begin that they are a CU Denver faculty or staff member.  This scholarship applies to both Maymester and regular summer sessions, and is restricted to graduate entrepreneurship classes.  Faculty/staff of CU Denver are not eligible for any other entrepreneurship scholarship awards.
