On Thursday, October 23rd, the Sports and Entertainment Management Club hosted a Broncos pre-game tailgating event for the student organizations of the University of Colorado at Denver Business School. Fifty students from ten UCD Business School clubs joined the festivities to network with other clubs, enjoy some pizza, and pay tribute to our favorite Super Bowl contenders.
Attendees came dressed to impress with full-tribute fan wear from jerseys to business attire featuring the classic orange and blue. Among the highlights of the evening was the raffle for a football signed by Denver Broncos Wide Receiver Wes Welker. The ball was generously donated to the event by Pat Bowlen’s son Johnny Bowlen, who was unable to attend. The lucky winner was MS in Marketing student and President of the CU Denver Marketing Club Balaji Balasubramanian.
By the end of the night, the victory was not only on the field (Broncos W 21-35) but on the CU Denver campus as new friends were made and new networking connections aligned. This event is expected to be one of many upcoming multi-club programs designed to bring clubs together in the name of camaraderie within the Business School. United in Business. United in Orange.
