On October 1, 2015 the newly formed Business School Alumni Network officially launched their efforts with a networking event and a panel discussion comprised of Business School Alumni Entrepreneurs. Interim Dean Gary Kochenberger kicked off the event by welcoming all the alumni in attendance, and discussing the importance of the Network to the success of the Business School. Panelists Jung Park (MetroBoom), Jeff Macco (SeedPaths) and Cynthia Banks (GlobaLinks Learning Abroad) discussed their successes and challenges in the startup industry, the importance of utilizing a network, as well as what keeps them going in an industry where there are no clock in and out times. The panel was moderated by Keri Ungemah, Chair of the Business School Alumni Network.

The mission of the Business School Alumni Network is to encourage alumni to participate actively in the Business School community, host and attend events, volunteer in meaningful and impactful ways, create new ways for alumni to stay connected to the Business School, and contribute to the success and importance of the University of Colorado.

The goal is to involve the greatest possible number of alumni with the Business School on an annual basis by creating a range of appealing programs and services that alumni will seek to remain engaged with the University and with each other.

Accordingly, the Alumni Network desires to provide alumni with meaningful opportunities to:

  • continue the process of life-long learning;
  • serve the Business School, its faculty, and its students;
  • foster diversity and community, strengthening ties to the CU Denver Business School and growing relationships with other alumni;
  • receive valuable services to enhance their lives and careers, and;
  • promote pride, tradition, and loyalty among both current students and former students.

If you are interested in helping shape the future of the network, please contact Keri Ungemah at keri.ungemah@gmail.com.
