The University of Colorado Denver chapter of the Association for Information Systems has been recognized for their efforts in the area of Careers in “IS”. These awards recognize deserving student chapters that have excelled in one or more of the following areas: professional development, membership, careers in IS, community service, fundraising, and communications.

The chapter will be honored during the 2015 International Conference on Information Systems which will be held in Ft. Worth, Texas from December 13-16, 2015 and again at the AIS Student Chapter Leadership Conference April 1-3, 2016. The chapter was also recognized in the AIS Insider newsletter, on the AIS Website and AIS student chapter website.

“AIS takes immense pride in recognizing the distinguished scholars who make up our community, and ultimately, contribute to the success of the field,” said AIS Vice President of Student Chapters James Parrish. “As such, I wanted to take this opportunity to congratulate University of Colorado Denver’s student chapter as well as the student leaders involved.”

AIS Student Chapters, founded in late 2008, remain dedicated to creating an environment that fosters the success of undergraduate and graduate IS students and that encourages networking between students, faculty, and practitioners within the field. Through the growth of the Student Chapter community, the program is also designed to attract students to the discipline overall. Since the inception of the initiative, more than 3,000 students worldwide have affiliated with AIS Student Chapter.
