Alums started the CU Denver Business School Alumni Network (BSAN) to offer that service to current students. At the Business Leader with an Edge event, seasoned experts in cybersecurity spoke candidly with students about the threats we’re facing, ways to make a difference, and career opportunities in IT and cybersecurity. Many leaders in cybersecurity are warning that the next world war will be waged in cyberspace. By 2021, ransomware is predicted to attack a business every 11 seconds, resulting in $20 billion a year in damages.  Read more

On October 16^th, the Center for Information Technology Innovation (CITI) and the Information System Association (ISA) successfully hosted the 13^th Annual Become a Business Leader with an Edge event. The executives discussed tech trends, career advancement, and innovations occurring in the world of information technology. It’s every student’s wish for an amazing internship to turn into a dream job. A mentorship is established, and you already know the ins and outs of a company you truly enjoy. For Daniel Pliego, months of hard work as an intern turned into a full-time job offer with Blue Moon Digital, a full semester before receiving his diploma.
