DENVER – Another reason to love Denver: A recent study by the Trust For Public Land ranked the city 17th in the nation on their ParkScore index. Rankings were based on scores in three areas:
- Acreage: median park size and park acres as a percentage of city area
- Services and Investment: playgrounds per resident and total spending per resident
- Access: percentage of the population living within a ten-minute walk of a public park
Not content with being ranked 17th, Denver will add almost 400 acres of parks and open-space over the next five years.
