The Global Energy Management (GEM) program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School is proud to announce a new opportunity for MBA students. Current MBA students can now enroll in up to three GEM electives. Although there is no certification, these courses give a specific look at the energy industry using accounting, finance, strategic management, marketing, and economics. From offering leadership seminars to courses taught by highly experienced energy professionals, the GEM office’s goal is to transform your perspective on the global energy markets.
These GEM electives were formulated for the working professional. Each course functions as hybrid-online. At the beginning of each session, students travel to Denver for four days (Friday – Monday) to meet for classes. GEM students then return home and complete the remainder of their coursework online. Throughout the session, however, students collaborate with their assigned groups in-person or use the provided WebEx web-conferencing software.
Following individual approval from GEM administration, interested MBA students can add up to three GEM electives to their existing academic plans. Lasting 10 weeks and worth 3 credits each, January and April sessions count as Spring credits, while the July and October count as Fall credits. Visit Global Energy Management for a full elective course listing or contact Michele Motley (michele.motley@ucdenver.edu) for more information.
