On March 4th the South Denver community joined the University of Colorado Denver faculty and staff in an evening information session and open house. The informational meeting was to discuss the Professional MBA program at CU South Denver.
The South Denver location is at the Liniger Building – what once was The Wildlife Experience – in Parker, 15 minutes from the Denver Tech Center. The building was gifted to the University of Colorado system and offers among other things, the CU Denver nursing courses, business courses and The Launchpad – a Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship certificate program.
Many prospective students were positive about the MBA program. One student, Cherlyn Hostelter, hopes to transfer into the program soon. She has been flying back and forth between Colorado and New York to try and keep up with her current MBA program. She learned about CU Denver being in her backyard from advertising around The Wildlife Experience. She loves how flexible and cost-effective the program is, as well as the fact that it is from an AACSB accredited school – also the location can’t be beat.
Another prospective student, Nitya Maddodi, found out about the program while checking his daily email. He works in science and wants to further his career at Anschutz. With his home so close to the Liniger Building, he can now enroll and start investing in his future.
The South Denver location is not only for prospective students. Sarah Fields, a current CU Denver MBA student, is thrilled with the MBA being offered at CU South Denver. She is interested in the accelerated 8 week class schedule as well as the location’s proximity to her house. With those benefits, she says it helps her keep a work/life balance.
