Trina Lampe, ‘24
BSBA, Information Systems
Trina Lampe enrolled at the CU Denver Business School to pursue a degree in Information Systems. “For the first time, I felt a profound sense of belonging.” She threw herself into her studies, discovering a natural talent for statistics, finance, economics, database design, and programming. Lampe also found herself strengthening skills she believed she did not have, with the lens of business providing her with a deeper understanding of math and logic.
Lampe has used these skills to be an agent for positive change in the world around her. In January, the Information Systems Association (ISA) offered her the Vice President of Social Technology and Networking, a role based on Lampe’s proposal. While in this role, she led the ISA’s Spring Panel Event, managing the event’s marketing, promotion, and digital outreach. Going above and beyond, she also implemented recruitment strategies that resulted in 75% of event attendees expressing an interest in joining the ISA. Lampe was elected Vice President and Secretary of ISA for her work in May 2024.
One of her proudest achievements was organizing the 18th annual Fall Business Leaders with an Edge event. “This experience allowed me to move beyond classroom concepts as I engaged in daily stakeholder communication, managed financial budgets, obtained vendor quotes, and prepared a comprehensive event presentation pitch for the Student Government Association.”
“Looking ahead, I’m excited to leverage my BSBA degree in a career that combines my passion for problem-solving with technology and business.” Her ultimate ambition is to work in tech consulting, and she aspires to eventually start her own company focused on empowering women in information systems.
“My BSBA degree represents more than academic achievement; it embodies a journey of self-discovery, perseverance, and purpose.”
