On February 5, 2015 CU Denver Business Career Connections hosted the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. The informational session which welcomed four professionals from the bank, highlighted the various career and internship opportunities with the nation’s central bank.
Graduate and undergraduate students from the Finance, Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) and Information Systems programs listened in as current employees discussed their careers at the banking organization. One employee, a current Bank Examiner and CU Boulder Alumni, described her experience beginning as a Supervision and Risk Management (SRM) intern and then transitioning into a full time employee. She described it as a “cool company” to work for, and that there were many chances to learn and grow within the company. The coursework she learned as an undergraduate in economics has been highly valuable.
