On March 16th, the Denver Business Journal (DBJ) hosted its annual “40 under 40” event, in which the publication recognized 40 of the most successful and innovative local professionals under the age of 40 in metro Denver. According to the DBJ, the final 40 were selected from a pool consisting of 307 nominees, who had received more than 500 nominations in total.
Among the 40 honorees this year, eight–nearly a quarter of all winners–were affiliated with CU Denver. Of those eight, five were either alumni or current students of the Business School. CU Denver Chancellor Dorothy Horrell addressed the packed crowd at Infinity Park Event Center, noting that more than 40 university alumni have held the DBJ’s prestigious title. “We’re proud of all of them, as we are all of you,” she said. And indeed, the Business School community shares that same sense of pride, extending congratulations to each of the winners:
