• 2010 Become a Business Leader with the Edge

    This year’s fifth-annual “Become a Business Leader with an Edge” event on October 25 broke all previous attendance records, topping out at 303 students. Representing diverse interests and backgrounds, the students arrived at St. Cajetan’s on the Auraria Campus with a single purpose–to hear from area executives about the emerging possibilities in business and information technology (IT).  Read more

    The Business School hosted the latest networking event for alumni on March 30 at the Rialto Cafe in downtown Denver.  More than 40 attended,  reconnecting with other alums, sharing stories about their families and their careers, and meeting new peers from the Business School. The networking event marked the transition of  alumni relations from Linda Brooker, Assistant Dean, to Karen Niparko, Director of the Graduate Career Connections™ (GCC) office of the Business School.    Read more

    Presented by Kent J. Thiry, DaVita’s Chairman and CEO Kent Thiry, Chairman and CEO of DaVita, spoke at the Business School’s inaugural CEO Briefing about DaVita’s remarkable turnaround from a nearly bankrupt provider of dialysis services to its position today as a $6 billion leader in kidney care. When Thiry joined DaVita in 1999, the company was under investigation by the SEC.  Read more
