On October 2nd, a lively crowd – consisting of community members and CU Denver leadership, faculty, staff, and students – cheered on the CU Denver Business School and the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship as they broke ground on the soon-to-come Jake Jabs Event Center.
Jabs donated $12 million in 2013 to the Business School, and the formerly known Bard Center for Entrepreneurship was renamed in his honor. Read more

On April 26th six collegiate startup teams battled it out on stage in front of a panel of judges and a record-breaking audience of 170+ people at THE CLIMB | Pitch Night. Hosted annually by the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship, THE CLIMB is a business development challenge open to all Colorado universities. This year’s competition marked 17 years of empowering student entrepreneurs to blaze their own trail. Read more

This year’s competition featured an online craft beer marketplace, a meal planning mobile application and companies wanting to do social good. “There’s a very diverse group of entrepreneurs within Denver that are trying to solve some really cool problems here that have meaningful impact on society,” said Caleb Polley, first place winner in the community category.
