The University of Colorado business schools at Denver, Boulder, and Colorado Springs have been working together on an initiative called the CU Diverse Doctorates in Business (DDB) program. Manuella Tabares loves helping people. It is why she enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserves in 2015. Through her work as a Personnelist for the Air Force, she discovered a passion for human resources. “I love talking to people, helping people, taking care of people,” said Manuella. “It’s really cool that I get to do it within the military – I never thought that would be an option for me.”  Read more

“Wake up when everyone else is sleeping – it’ll help you get ahead,” says Yvonne Castellanos, a mother, business owner, Bilingual Communications Specialist, and soon to be CPA. Yvonne Castellanos received a BA in Mass Communications from CU Denver in 2011. Since then, she has worked for Commerce City as a Bilingual Communications Specialist, co-founded a growing upholstery business with her husband, and is now pursuing a master’s degree in accounting.  Read more

Jack Kroll has built strong roots at the University of Colorado. From undergraduate to career professional to alumnus to MS graduate to Regent, Jack is one of those people that seems to jump at every opportunity to get involved, take action, and continually strive to improve the lives of everyone around him. Making the most of undergrad Jack, a Colorado native, decided to stay close to home at CU Denver and double-majored in Economics and English Literature in 2011.  Read more
