Graduating from college or university is a major accomplishment. In an effort to recognize and praise graduates for their time, energy, and dedication throughout their journey, the CU Denver Business School held a small graduation celebration on Friday, December 16, 2022, in the Jake Jabs Event Center. These celebrations are a reminder of the rich diversity in the U.S. and can provide a reflective time of thankfulness. On November 18, 2022, the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Collegiate Program (DFEI) at CU Denver Business School, along with IMA Financial Group, Inc.,  presented the first in-person Ethics OnSite program since the beginning of the pandemic. CU Denver’s Ethics OnSite program provides students access to high-level industry executives and provides learning opportunities around creating ethical business cultures and mitigating risks of ethical breaches.  Read more

Education is a powerful tool that is most effective when learners are given the proper resources. Yet, given their differences, students do not have access to the same opportunities. As a result, some have very limited chances of succeeding. The CU Denver Business School takes immense pride in its diverse body of students. In recognition of their special assets and unique challenges, the Business School launched the First-Generation and Multicultural (FaM) program, a memorandum designed to set students with diverse backgrounds up for success.  Read more

How many students have wished at least once that they had a mentor to show them the way? Higher education can be challenging to navigate, and having a guide sometimes makes a difference. Alums started the CU Denver Business School Alumni Network (BSAN) to offer that service to current students. Who better to know their experience than those who have lived it themselves?  On Wednesday, November 9, in partnership with CU Denver’s Women in Business Club, the Business Student Ambassador Committee (BSAC), and the Information Association Systems Association, BSAN held its annual Business School Alumni panel.  Read more

On October 18 and 20, 2022, undergraduate students from the University of Colorado Denver Business School took part in the VF Ethics Case Competition sponsored by VF Corporation. The case competition took place at VF’s headquarters in Denver, CO. Eight student teams with four or five students from Ira Selkowitz’s Business Law and Ethics class at CU Denver competed in this competition.  Read more
