Saturday, October 15, marks the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month, a period of recognition of the legacy of the Hispanics and celebration of the Hispanic culture in the United States. Yet, many people have a hard time breaking their own limits and struggle in leadership positions due to self-limiting issues like Imposter syndrome and emotional illiteracy. During the last week of April, more than 60 attendees returned in-person to the CU Denver Business School’s Jake Jabs Event Center for the 21^st year of THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition. Study abroad programs around the world scrambled for the past two years to make it possible for students to learn internationally with little to no luck. Fortunately, CU Denver rose to the challenge and kept the One Year MBA international component active by making it possible for 23 students and their program coordinators to travel aboard.  Read more

Each semester, Professor Roger Ritvo assigns a Service-Learning Project to students getting an MBA in his Leading Individuals and Teams course. As part of the course, students are asked to identify a local organization to arrange a hands-on service project for and then share their accomplishments in an end of semester presentation. The practical application of this project encourages students to engage the community through fundraising, and reinforces concepts learned and discussed in the course and the textbook.  Read more

As graduation approaches, two undergraduate and two graduate students were awarded the CU Denver Business School’s Outstanding Student Award. This award is handed out each semester to four students, nominated by professors, for displaying exceptional resilience and drive while earning their degrees.  Read more
