CU Denver Sustainability Event Presented by First Data Shows Why it Pays to be Green
The ‘green’ movement across the globe isn’t just about government policies and individual choices, it is growing as a concern among small and large companies. Local business representatives, students, faculty and staff met for breakfast recently to learn more about sustainability in the business world. The program ‘Getting Green by Going Green,’ presented by First Data, was hosted by the University of Colorado Denver Business School and the school’s Managing for Sustainability Program, and was held in the Lawrence Street Center, Terrace Room. CU Denver Business School to host Managing for Sustainability Event
Do sustainable business investments fatten a company’s bottom line? This question is at the heart the inaugural Managing for Sustainability forum hosted by the University of Colorado Denver Business School, which takes place on Wednesday, September 26, from 7:30 to 10:00 AM. The event, titled Getting Green by Going Green: Why a Major Private Equity Group is Investing in Sustainability, is presented by FirstData, and is designed to help people learn how using sustainable business practices can generate value and why the study of managing a sustainable business is more relevant than ever. Sixth-Graders Learn About Sustainable Business
The University of Colorado Denver Business School recently gave sixth grade students from Cole Middle School the opportunity to learn about building sustainable business. As part of a partnership between the University of Colorado Denver and Cole Middle School, of Denver Public Schools, sixth grade students visited the Auraria campus to explore the broad issue of sustainability—including learning about hydrogen-fuel-cell-powered cars, hydrophonics and the positive impact a sustainable culture can have on an organization’s bottom line.
