On April 10 and 11, at the Denver Marriot City Center, Beta Alpha Psi (BAP) chapters from across the Rocky Mountain region met.  The regional meeting was hosted by the University of Colorado Denver Business School’s Theta Sigma chapter. “Many small people, who in many small places do many small things, can alter the face of the world.” So reads an inscription on one of the remaining panels of the Berlin Wall, a barrier between East and West Berlin that stood for nearly three decades and became a symbol of a divided world. When the wall fell, so too did barriers to the flow of capital, goods, and people. Twenty-five years later, the University of Colorado’s 11-Month MBA program arrived in Germany to observe the economic landscape and explore business opportunities in this once divided region.  Read more

Wayne Cascio, PhD, who holds the Robert H. Reynolds Distinguished Chair in Global Leadership at the University of Colorado Denver Business School and professor of management, was recently awarded the Western Academy of Management’s Outstanding Scholar Award, sponsored by the Journal of Management Inquiry. This is a lifetime achievement award given once a year by the Western Academy of Management.  Read more

On April 9th, between 70 and 80 students at the University of Colorado Denver Business School were joined for an evening information session by Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Todd Trautman, Senior Manager Clinical Informatics and Decision Support and Joseph Crimando, Senior Technical Manager were the main presenters. According to a recent study cited by Forbes, fewer than two in five managers believe that college graduates were well-prepared for a job in their field of study.  Additionally, “only one in ten business leaders strongly agreed that institutions were graduating students with the skills and competencies their businesses needed.” The University of Colorado Denver Business School has recently taken initiative to change this.  Read more
