  • Center for Commodities Launches Applied Research Digest

    The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School will be the home to the Global Commodities Applied Research Digest (GCARD), a new journal that is launching to deliver summaries of top research via the JPMCC’s website. For commodity practitioners, there has not been an accessible source of concise information about current commodities research, either in specific fields or across industries, the GCARD aims to solve this issue.  Read more

  • Survey: Denver Second-Best Place for College Grads to Start a Career

    According to a survey released Monday by WalletHub, Denver ranks as the second-best place for college grads to start a career. The research site placed Denver second among large U.S. cities, when it comes to starting a career. Salt Lake City placed first. Other large Colorado cities to make the list include: Aurora, which ranked 33rd with a score of 55.68, and Colorado Springs, which ranked No.  Read more

  • Jake Jabs Lists Keys to Entrepreneurial Success

    Traveling through Asia on a recent furniture-buying trip, Jake Jabs kept seeing the same low-backed couch in market after market. Feeling a hunch, he put in a bulk order and shipped the “strange-shaped” sofas to his American Furniture Warehouse (AFW) showrooms in Colorado and Arizona. “We sold 69 sets in the first two weeks,” he said. “That’s what you have to do – you need to try things.  Read more

  • 2016 Front Range Finance Seminar

    The spring 2016 Front Range Finance Seminar was hosted at the CU Denver Business School on Friday, April 15th, 2016. Co-organized by Assistant Professor of Finance Yosef Bonaparte and Associate Professor Yufeng Han, the Front Range Finance Seminar was re-instituted this year bringing the Front Range financial university community together for the first time in five years.  Read more

  • Bronco VP of sales and marketing visits CU Denver

    On March 30th Dennis Moore, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the Denver Broncos football club visited the Business School at CU Denver and also Professor Lawrence Cunningham’s graduate course in sports sponsorship. His first stop was the CU Denver Marketing Club lead by Senior Marketing Instructor Mary Lee Stansifer. He talked about a number of salient marketing issues involving the Denver Broncos.  Read more

  • New Certificate on Cyber Security and Information Assurance

    The Information Systems Program and the Jake Jabs Center For Entrepreneurship at the CU Denver Business School are pleased to announce the offering of a new certificate in Cyber Security and Information Assurance. The first course is set to start June 6th, 5:30 – 7:30 PM at the CU South Denver Campus. With recent breaches in the security of many large government agencies and private corporations, cyber security is an issue of great importance to the global society.  Read more
