The MBA Student Organization (MBASO) recently held their “What I Did With My MBA” event designed to help prepare students for life after CU Denver. The event, which was sponsored by the CU Denver Student Government Association, featured a panel of CU Denver Business School graduates who are now working in various fields. The panel included:

• Adam Boushie, Enterprise Territory Manager at Google
• Ellen Puckett, AVP, Corporate Technology Group at OppenheimerFunds
• Chris Varani, Project Manager at Physicians Ally, Medical Student

Three CU Denver Business School faculty members recently won CU Denver Faculty Awards. “This annual tradition is our chance to stop and recognize the excellent work that goes on at our university every day in the areas of teaching, research and creative activities as well as service and librarianship” says Roderick Nairn, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs.  Read more

The Business Student Ambassador Club (BSAC) and Graduate Career Connections (GCC) at the CU Denver Business School recently hosted “College to Corporate;” a panel discussion and networking event. The event included presenters from four international companies, including Rocket, Arrow Electronics, Prologis and Raytheon. The panel discussion started with Steven Vogel, Human Resource Manager at Arrow Electronics.  Read more

DENVER (CBS4)– Good news for all those who walk to get exercise or safe energy– Denver is getting kudos for being a “Walk Friendly Community” for its walkability and pedestrian safety. The City and County of Denver was designated as a Walk Friendly Community by the Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center. The Pedestrian and Bicycle Information Center is a national clearinghouse on those walking and biking activities housed within the University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center.  Read more

The Marketing Department at the University of Colorado Denver Business School is looking for a CU Denver student to work part-time (20 hours per week) as a Student Marketing Assistant. This is a paid, on-site position that offers flexible hours (within the Business School’s M-F 8am-6pm office hours) and the convenience of being locating in the Business School building.  Read more

The Business School’s transition to its new building is about to become complete, as the Business School computer lab currently located in the King Center will soon be moving. All computer lab and classroom functions will completely move into the Business Building, and the new lab should be up and running before the Fall 2014 semester begins on August 18. Starting Fall Semester 2014, the Business School Building will have a second computer lab with 36 more seats.  Read more

Graduate Career Connections (GCC) at the CU Denver Business School followed up on the success of last year’s Business School career fair by presenting their second career fair, in what will likely become a regular event. The Business School career fair, which was held April 15, 2014 in the Business School Building lobby, was another success, attracting more than 140 students and many premier employers.  Read more
