DENVER – The Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Denver Business School was recently highlighted in an article by ColoradoBiz magazine. The article featured the eponymous Jake Jabs, who is best known as the Founder and CEO of American Furniture Warehouse. In the article, Jabs discusses his background and business philosophy, the story behind his television commercials (which have become somewhat iconic in Denver and surrounding areas), as well as the reasons behind his $10 million donation to name the Center for Entrepreneurship.  Read more

Business School team to compete in CFA Institute Global Research Challenge DENVER – A team of five CU Denver students recently met with executives at Molson Coors Brewing Company, the largest brewery in the world, to gain insights related to their preparations for the CFA Institute Global Research Challenge. The competition “is designed to promote best practices in equity research to business and finance students” worldwide, according to the CFA Society of Colorado.  Read more

The Marketing Department at the University of Colorado Denver Business School is looking for a CU Denver student to work part-time (20 hours per week) as a Student Web Assistant. This is a paid, on-site position that offers flexible hours (within the Business School’s M-F 8am-6pm office hours) and the convenience of being locating in the Business School building. This position provides hands-on experience with a multi-disciplinary marketing team that provides web, print, photography, PR, marketing, and social media support for all departments within the Business School.  Read more

DENVER – Graduate Career Connections at the University of Colorado Denver Business School will host their first career fair Thursday, November 14th, in the lobby of the Business School building. The Business School is located at 1475 Lawrence Street, at the corner of 15^th and Lawrence streets in Downtown Denver.
