Ambron says dedicated teamwork and perseverance positions CU Denver Business School for even more success
Business School Dean Sueann Ambron, CU Denver’s longest-serving dean, said the school is set to reach new levels as she prepares to retire on July 3. During a festive May 13 reception attended by 120 faculty, staff, students and business leaders—as well as CU President Bruce Benson—Ambron credited teamwork and perseverance for putting the school on the path to even greater success. A group of five students from the 11-Month MBA program were able to directly impact a new company by way of naming the new entity.
The student team partnered with entrepreneur, Rich McNamara, who had started a math-based home-school curriculum company in 2014. Like many entrepreneurs, McNamara had a great idea and the skills to back it up. But, he continued to struggle with what to name his new company. Read more

A recent study conducted by the Council for Aid to Education found that 4 in 10 U.S. college students graduate without the complex reasoning skills to manage white-collar work. One of the solutions that many have proposed to combat this, is for educational institutions to offer comprehensive programs that teach students the fundamentals of business. In the Fall of 2015, the Business School will launch a new business certificate that focuses on giving individuals with a non-business undergraduate degree, business essentials. Read more
Colorado scored high in the first “Best Places for Tech Jobs” list by researcher NerdWallet, which studied tech jobs, salaries and median rents in 370 metropolitan areas.
San Jose, Calif., outscored all other cities, but Boulder ranked fifth, while Denver came in at No. 13 and Colorado Springs at No. 15.
