  • CU Denver Students Help Homeless Youth Stay Warm

    Students at the University of Colorado Denver Business School recently engaged in a project to make blankets for homeless youth, to be donated to Urban Peak. First-year students in the CU Denver Business School’s class “Business, Leadership, and You” were given the task of deciding how to spend funds allocated to the class. These funds are intended to be used to help build relationships and enrich students’ lives.  Read more

    CU Denver IS Program Adds New Specializations

    The Information Systems (IS) Program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School recently announced that they are adding several new specializations to their degree programs. Beginning Spring 2013, graduate students will be able to add Enterprise Risk Management, Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship, or eHealth and Healthcare Service Entrepreneurship as a specialization to their degree.  Read more

  • Bard Center Competition Winners Win Again

    App-It Ventures, one of the two first place winners in the most recent business plan competition at the Bard Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Denver Business School, recently won another business plan competition. This time, the company beat out over 150 competitors to win the City and County of Denver’s inaugural JumpStart Biz Plan Awards competition.  Read more

  • CU Denver Business School Hosts Foreign Leaders

    Mozambique’s First Lady tours CU campuses DENVER – Today the CU Denver Business School, as well as the Anschutz Medical Campus – University Hospital, hosted the First Lady of Mozambique, Her Excellency Maria da Luz Dai Guebuza, for a tour of several facilities. The group and First Lady are visiting a variety of locations throughout the Denver area as part of an overall effort to meet and learn from business leaders here to enhance their own understanding of American business.  Read more

  • $300,000 gift to CU Denver Business School program will help develop risk management and insurance workforce

    DENVER—The Surplus Lines Association of Colorado has committed $300,000 to the Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) program at University of Colorado Denver Business School. The gift will endow a scholarship fund and underwrite an international Risk Management and Insurance travel course that will help the program develop students who will graduate prepared to join the insurance industry workforce.  Read more

  • Simio Donates $150k in software to CU Denver


    Demonstration of Simio Software Simio LLC, the maker of Simio simulation software recently donated approximately $150,000 worth of software to the University of Colorado Denver Business School. The grant from Simio provides the CU Denver Business School with 15 copies of the company’s signature software. Dr. Gary Kochenberger, a professor in the Decision Sciences program at the CU Denver Business School was instrumental in working with Simio to procure the donation of their signature software.  Read more
