The informal Creative Research Collaborative Fellow’s Talk is an annual series that allows professors to share their projects with fellow faculty members and the general public. Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded the University of Colorado Denver’s Institute for International Business a study grant for Business School students to visit Japan through the Kakehashi Project. Accepted participants will leave for the weeklong trip to Japan at the end of November. An innovative app that connects bars to customers with special discount offerings won the collegiate first prize at this year’s THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition, an annual business plan challenge sponsored by the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado Denver Business School. Patrick Brown, Elliot Bath, and Devin Hougard, founders of the BARVENTURE app, took home $10,000 and a selection of in-kind prizes to support their technology-based business.  Read more

Dr. Rossen Roussev, Executive Director of Quantitative Research with J.P. Morgan’s Global Commodities business in New York, visited the University of Colorado Denver Business School this past week to teach a new three-day Commodities Center Professional Education course.
