  • Student entrepreneurs win big at THE CLIMB | Pitch Night

    On April 26th six collegiate startup teams battled it out on stage in front of a panel of judges and a record-breaking audience of 170+ people at THE CLIMB | Pitch Night. Hosted annually by the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship, THE CLIMB is a business development challenge open to all Colorado universities.   • Educating soldiers for the cybersecurity war

    Three billion dollars were lost in the last three years because of email scams. To make matters worse, there are almost 1.5 million unoccupied cybersecurity jobs in the United States alone. “The greatest emerging threat facing humanity today is a cyber attack.” Vance Brown, CEO of the National Cybersecurity Center (NCC) quoted the former director of the CIA, General Petraeus, to set the stage for the Mountain West Cybersecurity Consortium (MWCC).  Read more

  • The real cost of driving while distracted

    Every seven seconds someone is injured in a car accident. Distracted driving is involved in about 40 crashes every day in Colorado. You are 20 times more likely to get in a crash if you are texting while driving and one in 10 people admit to driving while distracted. These facts showcase a dark trend for safety on the roads. And if safety isn’t enough, rising insurance premiums should get the attention of Colorado residents.  Read more

Pink Petro HERWorld Energy Forum is a place for women to discuss key issues and challenges they face within the industry.
