• CU Denver Business School/Encana to present distinguished lecturer

    The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities at the University of Colorado Denver Business School will host Kenneth B. Medlock III, PhD, for the first Encana Distinguished Lecture Series event on April 15. Medlock is the James A. Baker III and Susan G. Baker Fellow in Energy and Resource Economics at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy and the senior director of the Center for Energy Studies, as well as an adjunct professor and lecturer in the Department of Economics at Rice University.  Read more

    Terrence A. Duffy, Executive Chairman and President of CME Group, recently addressed a crowd of University of Colorado Denver Business School faculty, staff, and students as well as members of the business community. Part of the Business School’s “Knowledge Exchange” series, the event was held in the CoBank Lecture Hall in the Business School building. In his presentation, titled “Managing Risk in Today’s Global Markets,” Duffy discussed the CME Group’s role as “a risk management center for the world,” the need for business to have values again, and the present and future of derivatives, both nationally and globally.  Read more

    The MBA Student Organization (MBASO) at the University of Colorado Denver Business School will host its first “Troliday” Party on Thursday, December 13, 2012. The “Troliday”—a derivation of trivia and holiday—Party will be held in the back room of Old Chicago, located at 1415 Market Street, in downtown Denver, beginning at 6:30pm.     The Fall Commencement ceremony for the University of Colorado Denver will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 9 a.m. at the Colorado Convention Center. Graduates need to check in for the ceremony at 7:45 a.m. on December 15 in Upper Hall B. There are no tickets for this event and no limit to the number of guests graduates may invite.  The seating is first-come, first-served, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early.  Read more
