Each fall, the Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship hosts Colorado’s most prominent business leaders as part of the Best of Colorado Speaker Series. The series included ten organization leaders and creators from a variety of industry backgrounds.

Financial management student Rohan Nipunge diversifies his skillset by participating in over five school clubs, as well as double majoring in Risk Management with a specialization in Information Systems. Rohan is especially interested in the automotive industry and has been working at BMW with Ralph Schomp since he was 17 years old. This role solidified his passion for the business and helped him choose his majors.  Read more

CU Denver’s Information Systems Department held their annual Business Leaders with an Edge Webinar on Tuesday, October 12. Hosted by Information System department chair, Dawn Gregg and mediated by Cynthia Wright, cybersecurity expert and veteran, this was the first time the event has been hosted virtually. Design Horizons Program Brings Together Fellows from Across the University In Summer 2020, many were distracted by the problems related to the COVID-19 pandemic. But a select group of 24 CU Denver students focused their energies on solving business problems through the new Design Horizons Entrepreneurial Fellows Program. A team of four graduate students from the CU Denver Business School took third place at the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative’s ninth annual Collegiate Program Case Competition on Friday, April 16. This is the third time a team from CU Denver has placed in the event, with undergraduate teams winning second place in 2019 and third place in 2016. The Case Competition exposes college students to a thought-provoking business ethics case and is designed to challenge students’ ethical reasoning, give them tools for ethical decision-making, and raise awareness of the importance of principle-based ethics.  Read more
