Recently, US News & World Report released their 2017 higher education rankings, which are widely regarded as one of the foremost benchmarks in evaluating the quality of education colleges and universities provide. The CU Denver School of Business undergraduate programs were ranked 94th overall, placing it in a tie with the University of Denver. Dr. Heidi Boerstler is a Professor Emeritus of Health Administration, Law and Ethics at the CU Denver Business School. “I have been with the Business School for 29 years (with a few years spent at our law school) and it has been an honor and a privilege to work with our students,” Dr. Boerstler said. Yosef Bonaparte has been with the CU Denver Business School since 2014 as an Assistant Professor of Finance. Before becoming an integral part of the University, Bonaparte graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008 with a Ph.D. in Financial Economics. Professor Bonaparte’s main research interests are in Portfolio Choice and Asset Pricing. In particular, he examines how political climate and political affiliation influence investors’ portfolio choices and the stock market in general.  Read more

The spring 2016 Front Range Finance Seminar was hosted at the CU Denver Business School on Friday, April 15th, 2016. Co-organized by Assistant Professor of Finance Yosef Bonaparte and Associate Professor Yufeng Han, the Front Range Finance Seminar was re-instituted this year bringing the Front Range financial university community together for the first time in five years.  Read more

Dr. Sarah Kovoor-Misra, Associate Professor of Management at the CU Denver Business School has been elected to the leadership track of the Western Academy of Management. Kovoor-Misra will be on a four year track starting this year as Vice President, next year as Program chair, the year after as President and concluding as Past President.
