  • CU Denver Business School boasts impressive new rankings

    Recently, US News & World Report released their 2017 higher education rankings, which are widely regarded as one of the foremost benchmarks in evaluating the quality of education colleges and universities provide. The CU Denver School of Business undergraduate programs were ranked 94th overall, placing it in a tie with the University of Denver. Even more impressive, however, is the university’s undergraduate ranking amongst public institutions, where it came in 58th overall.  Read more

  • Prize for sustainability issues in business curriculum

    Dr. Sue Keaveney’s Managing for Sustainability marketing course, “Marketing and Global Sustainability” at the CU Denver Business School, received honorable mention for the Dr. Alfred N. and Lynn Manos Page Prize for Sustainability Issues in Business Curricula award. The award results from an international competition hosted by the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.   Read more

  • Commodities Research Fellowship Award Winners Announced

    The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School is pleased to announce the winners of the first Research Fellowship Awards funded by the CME Group Foundation.  The selection committee comprised of three eminent academic Research Council Members.   • Survey: Denver Second-Best Place for College Grads to Start a Career

    According to a survey released Monday by WalletHub, Denver ranks as the second-best place for college grads to start a career. The research site placed Denver second among large U.S. cities, when it comes to starting a career. Salt Lake City placed first. Other large Colorado cities to make the list include: Aurora, which ranked 33rd with a score of 55.68, and Colorado Springs, which ranked No.  Read more

  • Dave Hammond Named Mineral Economics Award Recipient

    David R. Hammond, Ph.D. and lecturer for the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School has been awarded the Mineral Economics Award by the American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical and Petroleum Engineers (AIME). The award recognizes Hammonds’ outstanding professional accomplishments and his distinguished contributions to the field of mineral economics.  Read more

  • Business School Awarded Three High Impact Grants

    It’s smart to be HIP, at least when it comes to engaging students, enhancing their college experience and keeping them on track to earn a degree. Building off the success of last fall’s Undergraduate Experiences Symposium titled “Learning with Purpose: Quality HIP Programs for All Students,” CU Denver has awarded nearly two dozen grants to facilitate the integration of HIPs (High-Impact Educational Practices) into numerous CU Denver degree programs and courses.  Read more

  • Cascio Appointed as an Editor for the Journal of International Business Studies

    “Serving as a journal editor is a very significant academic distinction. To be named the editor of one of the premier journals in a major field is even more significant,” said Kenneth Bettenhausen, Director of MS Management at the CU Denver Business School. Wayne Cascio, Distinguished University Professor and Reynolds Chair in Global Leadership, is one of the most notable professors at CU Denver and can now add another distinction to his résumé, as Cascio was recently appointed as editor for International Human Resource Management for the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS).  Read more
