The CU Denver Business School gives annual awards to faculty members for excellence in research, excellence in teaching for a tenure track and non-tenure track faculty and excellence in service. A committee of the three past winners in each category reviews the annual reports of the faculty and make their recommendations to the Dean. Winners are then invited to submit their dossiers for inclusion in the campus level competition for the awards.  Read more

Over 400 Denver community leaders and entrepreneurs gathered on November 3 at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce’s State of Small Business event to celebrate the achievements of the 2015 Bill Daniels Ethical Leader of the Year Award winner Evan Makovsky. John Pham has been recognized with the Business Schools outstanding staff award. The award is intended to recognize staff members who have demonstrated significant individual and/or team contributions that further the success of the Business School. Pham has been employed with the Business School since 2010. He started out as a computer lab advisor, then changed to IT Helpdesk Professional, and now he is an Enterprise Desktop Support Technician for the Business School in the IT Department.  Read more

The Global Association of Risk Professionals Partnership for Risk Education chose University of Colorado Denver Business School student Caroline Nguyen as one of five students awarded the Fall 2014 GARP Research Fellowship. “It was unbelievable to me,” Nguyen said. “I never thought I could win, since I knew it was very competitive.”  Read more
