  • JPMCC program manager visits Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce

    Matt Fleming, Program Manager for the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the University of Colorado Denver Business School, spoke to about a dozen members of the community at the Colorado City Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on June 9th, held at the Rye Café. Fleming, originally from New York, has an MBA and is working on his MS Finance Degree. The only Center of its kind focusing on commodity education, The JPMCC provides undergraduates a certificate in Commodities, and MBA/MS Finance and Risk Management students the opportunity to specialize in Commodities.  Read more

  • THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition commemorates 15th anniversary

    The Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship at the CU Denver Business School recently announced its upcoming annual business plan competition will include a series of new events and opportunities for competition participants, as well as feature a new name and icon. THE CLIMB | Jake Jabs Business Plan Competition, which has previously been held in the spring, has now moved to the fall with submissions open Sept.  Read more

  • Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative fall discussion

    The Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of Colorado Denver Business School and the Colorado Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners will co-present a panel discussion on ethics in corporate culture on September 22, 2016. This intriguing event will explore the roadblocks and opportunities of defining and communicating an ethical culture from the top down.  Read more

  • RMI program gives back to Colorado high school students

    The Risk Management and Insurance Program at the CU Denver Business School was founded with the strong support and involvement of industry partners. For the second summer in a row, the RMI program has been able to give back to the community by offering a free summer class to local high school students. This summer, 18 students from Colorado high schools participated in the Introduction to Risk Management Careers course and earned a free CU Denver academic credit.  Read more

  • Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative Names New Program Director

    DENVER, June 30, 2016—The University of Colorado Denver Business School has appointed a new director of a grant-funded program focused on ethics. Roger Stace, a CU Denver senior accounting instructor, will take over leadership of the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of Colorado Denver Business School on July 1, 2016. “I am very excited for this opportunity,” said Stace.  Read more

  • Innagural CU Denver Bike to Work Day a Huge Success

    On Wednesday, June 22nd, the CU Denver Business School participated in Bike to Work Day, an event hosted by the Denver Regional Council of Governments (“DRCOG”) to help promote bicycle commuting and educate commuters about the benefits of using two wheels to get to work. The Business School was joined by ten other departments to help bring Bike to Work Day to life at CU Denver.  Read more
