The University of Colorado Denver Business School is pleased to announce the third round of faculty awards from the Tom and Jane Petrie Faculty Development Fund.  The selection committee, comprised of Chairwoman Dr. Marcelle Arak, Dr. Ajeyo Banerjee, and Business School Interim Dean Dr. Gary Kochenberger, selected the following recipients for the award:

• Yosef Bonaparte was given an award to pursue the project “Oil Price Uncertainty Index”
• Lawrence Cunningham was given an award to work on the topic “The Role of Country of Origin on Commodity-like Products Among Millennial Cohorts”

Professor Yosef Bonaparte interviewed by KMGH Channel 7 on Chinese stock market effects in U.S. University of Colorado Denver Business School professor of finance, Yosef Bonaparte, recently was interviewed by KMGH Channel 7.  The professor offered his financial expertise on the recent Chinese stock market plunge. Recently, the Chinese stock market had its biggest fall in eight years.   Read more

In August, Accounting Professor Michael Roberts and Theresa Roberts, an MS in Accounting student, won the Innovative Research Award for the 20th Annual Symposium on Ethics Research in Accounting, presented by the American Accounting Association (AAA).  The award was made jointly by the Professionalism and Ethics Committee and by the Public Interest Section of the American Accounting Association.   Read more

On Thursday, August 20^th students from around the CU Denver campus gathered for the 4^th annual CU Denver Block Party.  Hundreds of students played games, danced to music, ate delicious food from area food trucks – such as Batter, a food truck started by CU Denver Business School students – and posed for photos. All of the different schools and organizations from around the University were there in full force.  Read more

The University of Colorado Denver Business School will join other Colorado business schools in the 2nd Annual Colorado Business School Career Fair on September 17, 2015, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.  Business Career Connections (BCC) will help host over 150 companies and hundreds of hopeful business students in order to connect top firms with the best and brightest of Colorado.  Read more

August 20^th is the annual CU Denver Block Party It’s that time of year again when we all are coming back to school.  Kick off the 2015-2016 academic year with your fellow students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni and community friends at the third annual CU Denver Block Party. CU Denver Business School Sports and Entertainment Management students collaborate with top sports leaders at international conference in Los Angeles From July 25-27, 2015, a group of students with Wendy Guild, Director of Sports and Entertainment Management Programs, went to Los Angeles to participate in the Doha GOALS forum.  The forum is a premier event that brings together the top sports leaders in the world.   Read more
