Twenty years ago, the Front Range Finance Seminar was a small regional seminar held annually at CU Boulder. Over the past three years, the event has been held at the CU Denver Business School. This year the event was attended by over 40 of the top research minds in finance from around the world. On Thursday February 23, the CU Denver Business School hosted Sheridan Titman, a leading finance researcher from the University of Texas at Austin. The lecture was well attended by both students and faculty, where Dr. Titman presented a recent paper “A Dynamic Model of Characteristic-Based Return Predictability” where he established that “climate of disruptive innovation” is a source of systematic risk that influences the returns in the stock market.  Read more

The spring 2016 Front Range Finance Seminar was hosted at the CU Denver Business School on Friday, April 15th, 2016. Co-organized by Assistant Professor of Finance Yosef Bonaparte and Associate Professor Yufeng Han, the Front Range Finance Seminar was re-instituted this year bringing the Front Range financial university community together for the first time in five years.  Read more
