  • Society for Human Resource Management student chapter claims merit award

    The CU Denver Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter was recently awarded the 2016-2017 SHRM Student Chapter Superior Merit Award. This year’s award marks the group’s fourth consecutive designation, having achieved “superior” standing three times and “outstanding” once. The honor recognizes the Business School’s SHRM student chapter for its excellence in providing development and growth opportunities to its student members.  Read more

  • Select graduate programs accepted into Western Regional Graduate Program

    The CU Denver Business School has partnered with the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) to allow students in western states to enroll in qualifying graduate programs and pay in-state tuition. The new tuition rates will begin in Fall 2017 for any newly admitted students. The qualifying programs include:

    • Professional MBA
    • Health Administration MBA
    • MS Accounting
    • MS Business Analytics
    • MS in Health Administration
    • MS Finance and Risk Management
    • MS Information Systems
    • MS Taxation
    Once admitted into a qualifying program, eligible students will receive the WRGP form.  Read more

  • Galvanize and CU Denver announce Pathways Program

    Galvanize and University of Colorado Denver jointly announce the Pathways Program, a strategic partnership that allows eligible Colorado high school and current CU Denver students to earn academic college credit at CU Denver for completing the Web Development Immersive (WDI) program at Galvanize. For eligible high school students and current CU Denver students who enroll in the Pathways Program, there is a 30% discount on tuition for the six month full-time WDI course.  Read more

  • Information systems student: charting new paths

    Food is often at the center of the strongest friendships. For CU Denver graduating seniors Robera Oljira and Abel Mebrahtu, a bond grew as they dined on Ethiopian delicacies and sipped strong coffee. It evolved further as they tried to best each at billiards, ping pong and on the soccer pitch. On a recent visit to the Nile Restaurant in Aurora, Robera and Abel laughed and reminisced about their fast-moving college years.  Read more

  • CU to launch MOOC on the past, present and future of energy

    The University of Colorado in partnership with Coursera will launch its 30th massive open online course (MOOC) next month through the Business School at CU Denver. The Electric Utilities: Fundamentals and Future: Global Energy Management (GEM) Program online course offers learners the opportunity to understand how the industries’ technical, regulatory and structural history shapes the electricity we all rely on today.  Read more

  • A timely ethics lesson from a seasoned entrepreneur

    On April 5, 2017, Chris Franks, a local entrepreneur and business advisor hosted CU Denver Business School students for the April session of Lunch with Leaders (LwL). A new program sponsored by the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at the University of Colorado Denver Business School, LwL matches successful business owners with Business School students to discuss real examples of ethics in business.  Read more
