Recently, CU Denver Business School Professor of Management Wayne Cascio’s research was featured in The New York Times. In an article about layoffs, Cascio discussed the results of his study that confirmed companies that are quick to lay off employees see diminished financial performance. The study, co-authored with Finance Professor Rohan Christie-David and Finance Professor Arjun Chatrath from Portland State University, will be published later this year in the Academy of Management Journal.  Read more

This spring, the CU Denver Business School launched an innovative course to introduce students to the investment services industry. Taught by Professor Yosef Bonaparte, Ph.D., the course offered a unique opportunity for students to land internships and careers through a partnership with the Colorado Investment Services Coalition (CISC). Learning in an online environment may be entirely new to some students and normal for others. Luckily for CU Denver Business School students, we have been teaching classes in online formats for more than 20 years. Nearly 50 percent of Business School professors have taught online classes prior to the Spring 2020 semester, and the ones who are new to online teaching have utilized the available resources to quickly adapt their classes to an online learning environment.  Read more
