For the second year in a row, a CU Denver RMI student has earned a coveted internship with the National Association of Professional Surplus Lines Offices, Ltd (NAPSLO). From an average of 200 applications, generally 12 students are selected to serve in the summer cohort. The Business Fundamentals Minor at the CU Denver Business School was designed to give non- business students tools they would need in their given fields. These students can also take individual courses without completing the full program. One such student is Jeanell Taylor, a senior psychology major at CU Denver. A native of Chicago, Taylor chose to study at CU Denver because she wanted to go out-of-state for school.  Read more

With CU Denver’s Commencement Ceremony taking place this weekend at the new Tivoli Quad, expected graduates are gearing up to enter the workforce. One such student is Katy Cline, a Finance major with an emphasis in Management. Cline graduated Summa Cum Laude on Saturday. The spring 2016 Front Range Finance Seminar was hosted at the CU Denver Business School on Friday, April 15th, 2016. Co-organized by Assistant Professor of Finance Yosef Bonaparte and Associate Professor Yufeng Han, the Front Range Finance Seminar was re-instituted this year bringing the Front Range financial university community together for the first time in five years.  Read more

While China is currently the most competitive manufacturing nation on the globe, a new study released on Wednesday predicts that the United States will surpass it by the end of the decade, as a global shift to more advanced methods of assembly favors advanced economies. Jian Yang, Director of Finance at the University of Colorado Denver Business School said the traditional Chinese advantage in manufacturing – cost competitiveness – has been compromised due to rising wages and soaring land prices.  Read more
