  • Internship: Sarah at Ball Corporation

    Not all students decide to pursue internships for the sole purpose of gaining industry experience. Sarah Ault, a dual MBA/MS International Business candidate, recently secured an internship at Ball Corporation, where she will work as a Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) intern, exploring and expanding upon her passion to foster deeper community relationships. Throughout her time at CU Denver, Ault has worked closely with the Business Career Connections (BCC) office.  Read more

  • Select graduate programs accepted into Western Regional Graduate Program

    The CU Denver Business School has partnered with the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP) to allow students in western states to enroll in qualifying graduate programs and pay in-state tuition. The new tuition rates will begin in Fall 2017 for any newly admitted students. The qualifying programs include:

    • Professional MBA
    • Health Administration MBA
    • MS Accounting
    • MS Business Analytics
    • MS in Health Administration
    • MS Finance and Risk Management
    • MS Information Systems
    • MS Taxation
    Once admitted into a qualifying program, eligible students will receive the WRGP form.  Read more

    A gathering of folks kicking back and enjoying delicious libations is the hallmark of any craft brewery worth its hops. It’s certainly the normal scene at a new brewpub in Golden that goes by the sunny name of Holidaily. Emotions here, however, also tend to run on the profound side, as business founder Karen Hertz, a CU Denver alumna, has pleasantly discovered.   • Veteran turned entrepreneur seeks investors, sends business plan to edge of space

    University of Colorado Denver MBA student Derek Safko noticed that simply saying “car wash business” is like tossing a wet blanket over potential investors. They often zone out before he can reveal the breadth of his plan to revolutionize the industry. So, Safko took the extreme step of conducting a moonshot – quite literally. After weeks of watching weather patterns, he launched a copy of his business plan to the edge of space.  Read more

  • CU Denver increases ranking for top part-time MBA Program

    U.S. News and World Report recently released its 2018 evaluation of college graduate business programs and the University of Colorado Denver Business School was ranked No. 84 for its part-time MBA program. This increase in ranking serves as a nod to the Business School’s largest program, the Professional MBA, led by industry and research experts that balances cutting-edge business education with real-world application.  Read more

  • Student organization offers free tax assistance

    According to a 2013 Quinnipiac survey, approximately two-thirds of Americans find the federal income tax system to be too complicated, and therefore resort to outsourcing the work of filing to a third party. More often than not, those who choose this option pay hefty fees for the convenience of having their taxes prepared for them. Thanks to Beta Alpha Psi’s (BAP) new tax assistance program, however, come tax day, you won’t have to pay a dime.  Read more

  • A Celebration of Success: Sarah Ault

    An accomplished graduate student completing a dual MBA/MS in International Business, Sarah Ault plans to apply her service-oriented background to the field of international business after graduation. Sarah’s experiences abroad in both London and Japan would not have been possible without the support of several Business School scholarships. Sarah moved to Colorado after earning her undergraduate degree and worked for years in the nonprofit community.  Read more
