  • Worldwide risk management spotlight on Business School, Denver

    DENVER – The Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) is holding their annual worldwide conference in Denver from April 27th through the 30th, 2014. The event, which is expected to draw over 10,000 risk industry professionals from around the world, will primarily hold events at the Colorado Convention Center. At the Convention Center, the Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) Program at the University of Colorado Denver Business School will have its own display booth, sponsored by the University of Colorado Risk Management and corporate partners that support the program.  Read more

  • Annual Business Plan Competition Kicks Off with Orientation

    DENVER – The Jake Jabs Center for Entrepreneurship Business Plan Competition Orientation has officially kicked off the annual competition. The first event of the contest, the Business Plan Competition Orientation was held at the Jake Jabs Center on February 26th, 2014. Attendees were given details and tips about participating in the competition, which brings together challengers from Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming to vie for $75,000 in cash and in-kind awards.  Read more

    DENVER – The University of Colorado Denver has long been a leader in health care research and education. To continue this tradition of excellence in the healthcare field, the Center for Information Technology Innovation (CITI) at the CU Denver Business School recently established the Digital Health Consortium (DHC).   • Richard Florida pegs Denver as part of ‘urban revolution’

    Denver is a perfect example of how the post-Great Recession economy works through an “urban revolution” that brings creative people close together, taking advantage of economies of scale, bestselling author Richard Florida said Tuesday at the Rocky Mountain City Summit in Denver. The summit, formerly known as the Rocky Mountain Urban Leadership Symposium, drew about 600 government officials, speakers and business leaders from around the region to the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center.  Read more
