  • International Education Takes Center Stage at NAFSA Conference

    International education at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus took center stage in early June as 10,000 professionals poured into Denver for the NAFSA: Association of International Educators conference. NAFSA last brought its annual conference to the Mile High City about 20 years ago, said Cecile Schoberle, director of marketing and communications, Office of International Affairs at CU Denver | Anschutz, so this was a major event and CU Denver | Anschutz took full advantage.  Read more

  • CU Denver Hosts International Business Event at Annual NAFSA conference

    When a room filled with university staff from across the globe were asked the amount of time it took them to travel to Colorado, many answered with twenty hours or more. Long distances and extended travel times, however, simply come with the territory for these world travelers, as many are leaders for the study abroad programs at their respective universities, and all are attendees of the annual NAFSA Conference.  Read more

  • JPMCC advisory council members create unique opportunities for students

    The Advisory Council members of the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School partner and actively engage with the JPMCC so that current students can get distinctive experiential insights and networking opportunities in the commodities world. Members Russ Cranswick, Senior Partner, Resource Capital Funds, a leading mining-focused private equity firm and Bruce Turner, Director of Commodity Risk and Trading, Fonterra, New Zealand, a multinational dairy cooperative and the world’s leading dairy exporter, both sponsored unique opportunities for Commodities students.  Read more

  • Business minor course opens new door for CU Denver student

    The Business Fundamentals Minor at the CU Denver Business School was designed to give non- business students tools they would need in their given fields. These students can also take individual courses without completing the full program. One such student is Jeanell Taylor, a senior psychology major at CU Denver. A native of Chicago, Taylor chose to study at CU Denver because she wanted to go out-of-state for school.  Read more

  • Qatar Prime Minister Celebrates Son’s Graduation from CU Denver

    An already strong relationship between the University of Colorado Denver and the nation of Qatar took a significant step forward last week with the visit of Prime Minister Abdulla Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani. The main reason for his visit was to celebrate the graduation of his son, Nasser Al Thani, who received his B.S. degree in Management and Human Resource Management from the CU Denver Business School.  Read more

  • Center for Commodities Launches Applied Research Digest

    The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School will be the home to the Global Commodities Applied Research Digest (GCARD), a new journal that is launching to deliver summaries of top research via the JPMCC’s website. For commodity practitioners, there has not been an accessible source of concise information about current commodities research, either in specific fields or across industries, the GCARD aims to solve this issue.  Read more
