  • BCC helps Finance Student Ignite her Career

    With CU Denver’s Commencement Ceremony taking place this weekend at the new Tivoli Quad, expected graduates are gearing up to enter the workforce. One such student is Katy Cline, a Finance major with an emphasis in Management. Cline graduated Summa Cum Laude on Saturday. Katy chose to study at the CU Denver Business School when work brought her to Denver after starting her education at CU Boulder.  Read more

  • Business School Students Take Third in Ethics Competition

    On April 14 and 15, undergraduate business students from a four-state region took part in the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative’s fifth annual Consortium Case Competition. Ten student teams competed, representing business schools from universities in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming. The University of Colorado Denver Business School’s team earned third place.  Read more

    The CU Denver Business School is pleased to announce the launch of the Business School Alumni Network. The Network plans to offer networking, mentoring, and educational events in the next year and opportunities to volunteer including participating in shaping the Network strategies and programs, helping create new ways for alumni to stay connected, and contributing to the success of the University of Colorado.  Read more

  • Cascio Appointed as an Editor for the Journal of International Business Studies

    “Serving as a journal editor is a very significant academic distinction. To be named the editor of one of the premier journals in a major field is even more significant,” said Kenneth Bettenhausen, Director of MS Management at the CU Denver Business School. Wayne Cascio, Distinguished University Professor and Reynolds Chair in Global Leadership, is one of the most notable professors at CU Denver and can now add another distinction to his résumé, as Cascio was recently appointed as editor for International Human Resource Management for the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS).  Read more

  • Transfer Students Like Olivia Snyder Enjoy a Smooth Process and Welcoming Atmosphere

    The new Transfer Admissions Center has helped bring a bevy of new students to CU Denver. The CU Denver Business School has been a benefactor as CU Denver makes the transition for transfer students a seamless one. One such student is Olivia Snyder. Snyder grew up in Los Alamos, N.M., and is used to small-town life, she doesn’t shy from jumping into the urban bustle.  Read more

  • Real Colorado Native and RMI Undergrad Discovers her Roots, and her Future

    When RMI undergrad Lisa Barela Sullivan stepped into the Colorado State Capitol building on Thursday, February 25th, she didn’t know what to expect from her first “Property & Casualty Insurance Day at the Capitol,” an annual event organized by Rocky Mountain Insurance Information Association (RMIIA). RMIIA’s “Mission Possible” day galvanized insurance professionals from all over Colorado to attend, meet their legislators, hear from Insurance Commissioner Marguerite Salazar and other legislators, lobbyists, and news journalists, all with the goal of learning about the legislative processes and laws that impact the insurance industry.  Read more
