U.S. News & World Report posted their annual rankings for top universities, and the Business School’s undergraduate program was ranked 58th among public universities and 91st overall among national universities. This is an improvement from last year’s 94th ranking overall among national universities. The report’s rankings are based on measures of academic peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources, alumni giving, and commitment to groundbreaking research.  Read more

The CU Denver Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) chapter was recently awarded the 2016-2017 SHRM Student Chapter Superior Merit Award. This year’s award marks the group’s fourth consecutive designation, having achieved “superior” standing three times and “outstanding” once. On April 14, Chancellor Dorothy Horrell presented the University of Colorado Staff Council 2017 Service Excellence Award to Connie Amen, assistant dean of the Business School.  The Service Excellence Award is given annually to recognize and reward staff members who have provided outstanding and sustained volunteer service to their campus, community/civic/professional organizations, and the university as a whole through active involvement in staff events, community engagement opportunities, committee work, social advocacy projects and diversity initiatives.  Read more

Distinguished Professor Wayne Cascio earned the World Federation of People Management Association’s (WFPMA) Lifetime Achievement Award by a unanimous vote by the Board of Directors on Oct. 18, 2016 in London.
