Enthusiasm and chatter filled the Inworks studio as students showcased their semester long projects to the public at the Inworks Expo. Five CU Denver Business School students participated in several Inworks classes this semester. Seth Moyes didn’t expect to land a software engineering position upon graduating when he first enrolled at the University of Colorado Denver with plans to major in marketing. Nonetheless, Moyes’ enthusiasm for his new position is contagious. Moyes graduates this December earning his BSBA in Information Systems from the CU Denver Business School. Deciding on a career path Moyes planned on creating software programs for architects, which is why he began his academic career in marketing and then switched to the College of Architecture and Planning.  Read more

A group of CU Denver Business School students recently returned from a Maymester program in Belize. Their goal? Hone their respective business skillsets through service learning projects aimed at helping the local population. Led by Associate Professor of Information Systems, Ron Ramirez, the students embarked on a three-week trip that began in the country’s capital city, Punta Gorda.  Read more

Food is often at the center of the strongest friendships. For CU Denver graduating seniors Robera Oljira and Abel Mebrahtu, a bond grew as they dined on Ethiopian delicacies and sipped strong coffee. It evolved further as they tried to best each at billiards, ping pong and on the soccer pitch. On a recent visit to the Nile Restaurant in Aurora, Robera and Abel laughed and reminisced about their fast-moving college years.  Read more

Undergraduate students at the University of Colorado Denver Business School now have the opportunity to enroll in dual degree programs to obtain their MS in Information Systems or their MS in Accounting in addition to their bachelor degrees. Students pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting can apply for the BS/MS Accounting 4+1 degree program. The program allows students to complete both degrees in as little as five years by substituting two graduate courses for two undergraduate courses.  Read more
