  • CU Denver finance professors present research at the 3rd annual Geneva Summit on Sustainable Finance

    A paper written by CU Denver Finance Professors John Byrd and Elizabeth Cooperman was one of ten papers accepted among global researchers to be presented at the University of Geneva’s 3rd Geneva Summit on Sustainable Finance in association with Latsis Internationale, the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) Finance Initiative, and Sustainable Finance Geneva.  Read more

  • Esteemed undergraduate scholar returns from summer abroad in Hong Kong

    Grecia Portillo, a rising junior at the CU Denver Business School, recently completed a summer abroad program in Hong Kong, after being awarded a highly prestigious full-ride scholarship from The Fund for American Studies. As a world traveler and student pursuing an international business degree with a minor in Mandarin, Portillo jumped at the opportunity to continue her education in China.  Read more

    The University of Colorado Denver Business School is excited to announce a new study abroad Winterim in Havana, Cuba! Join CU Denver Professor of Management Barry McConnell for an 11-day exploration into a country once barred from trade and travel with the United States. While abroad, students will participate in discussions with entrepreneurs and tech start-ups about the challenges they face as they facilitate Cuba’s economic shift from communism to capitalism, and the country’s subsequent reintegration into the regional market.  Read more

  • Jian Yang completes visiting fellowship

    Dr. Jian Yang, Professor of Finance and Director of CU Denver’s Finance Program, recently completed a month-long visiting fellowship at the research bureau of the People’s Bank of China (PBOC) located in Beijing. Each year, the PBOC, one of the world’s largest central banks, seeks highly qualified scholars from foreign central banks, international organizations (such as the International Monetary Fund and Bank for International Settlements), think tanks, and universities to conduct research regarding financial policy and regulation in China.  Read more

  • Leadership and Entrepreneurship Maymester in Ireland gives students priceless experience

    After nearly two weeks of exploring and learning, the University of Colorado Denver Business School students are back from Ireland. From the 19th of May to the 31st, CU Denver Business School students were immersed in the culture of the Republic of Ireland in Dublin with excursions to Belfast in Northern Ireland as participants of the Leadership and Entrepreneurship Maymester.  Read more

  • Qatar Prime Minister Celebrates Son’s Graduation from CU Denver

    An already strong relationship between the University of Colorado Denver and the nation of Qatar took a significant step forward last week with the visit of Prime Minister Abdulla Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani. The main reason for his visit was to celebrate the graduation of his son, Nasser Al Thani, who received his B.S. degree in Management and Human Resource Management from the CU Denver Business School.  Read more
