  • Finance and commodities graduate begins career abroad

    In the world of business, finance is a universal language. Recent CU Denver Business School graduate Conor Steffey, decided to try his hand at speaking it halfway across the world. For most people, the idea of moving can daunting, especially when your new home is located half a world away. But for Conor Steffey, a recent MS in Finance graduate holding a Certificate in Commodities, the choice to pursue a commodities career in New Zealand was an easy one to make.  Read more

  • CU Denver’s JPMCC announces second issue of GCARD

    The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities at the University of Colorado Denver Business School is pleased to announce the launch of the second issue of the Global Commodities Applied Research Digest (GCARD). The GCARD’s website is designed so individual articles can be seen and downloaded at a glance, including the most recent Fall 2016 edition as well as the inaugural Spring 2016 issue.  Read more

Mr. Hammer’s colleague at Bosch (Germany), Sven Streitmayer, recently joined the JPMCC’s Research Council.
  • New commodities center professional education course

    Participants in the new Commodity Data Analysis course offered by the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School, traveled across the globe to gain valuable skills in quantitative reasoning this past week. The new three-day intensive course, held from November 9 to 11, was offered as a part of the JPMCC’s Professional Education courses.  Read more

  • Students hear hiring message from a J.P. Morgan executive director

    Dr. Rossen Roussev, Executive Director of Quantitative Research with J.P. Morgan’s Global Commodities business in New York, visited the University of Colorado Denver Business School this past week to teach a new three-day Commodities Center Professional Education course. To further connect with students on campus, he held a discussion for interested Master of Science and PhD students from the hard sciences and mathematics on November 10.  Read more

  • JPMCC program manager visits Greenhorn Valley Chamber of Commerce

    Matt Fleming, Program Manager for the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the University of Colorado Denver Business School, spoke to about a dozen members of the community at the Colorado City Chamber of Commerce Luncheon on June 9th, held at the Rye Café. Fleming, originally from New York, has an MBA and is working on his MS Finance Degree. The only Center of its kind focusing on commodity education, The JPMCC provides undergraduates a certificate in Commodities, and MBA/MS Finance and Risk Management students the opportunity to specialize in Commodities.  Read more

  • Commodities Research Fellowship Award Winners Announced

    The J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School is pleased to announce the winners of the first Research Fellowship Awards funded by the CME Group Foundation.  The selection committee comprised of three eminent academic Research Council Members. The following applicants were selected as recipients for the award:

    The Advisory Council members of the J.P. Morgan Center for Commodities (JPMCC) at the CU Denver Business School partner and actively engage with the JPMCC so that current students can get distinctive experiential insights and networking opportunities in the commodities world.
