The University of Colorado Denver’s Business School has a new dean: Rohan Christie-David was appointed after a national search, the university announced Thursday. Christie-David, who has a Ph.D. in business administration from the University of South Carolina, will take over the appointment effective Aug. 1. He will take the place of former dean Sueann Ambron, who announced in January 2015 that she would retire June 30.  Read more

The Sustainability Field Study Course at the CU Denver Business School led by professor Graham Russell that concluded this past Spring gave students the real world experience they crave. Students who took the course work individually or in small teams to conduct a semester-long sustainability project in a local company, government agency or non-profit. These projects address a clearly identified need and lead to a well-defined product or deliverable that can be achieved within the duration of a single semester.  Read more

When Monica Hanulik performs as Assistant Principal Oboist for the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, she must consider tone, volume, clarity, pace, and harmonization with the entire orchestra. It is an entirely different way of thinking, understanding, and contributing to the music. She must then deliver her performance based on all these facets. It is this same complexity, subtlety, and pursuit of perfection that drew Monica to the Risk Management and Insurance program at the CU Denver Business School.  Read more

Peter Howell, a Finance and Risk Management major officially became a senior last week, is one such student. The Business Fundamentals Minor at the CU Denver Business School was designed to give non- business students tools they would need in their given fields. These students can also take individual courses without completing the full program. One such student is Jeanell Taylor, a senior psychology major at CU Denver. A native of Chicago, Taylor chose to study at CU Denver because she wanted to go out-of-state for school.  Read more

An already strong relationship between the University of Colorado Denver and the nation of Qatar took a significant step forward last week with the visit of Prime Minister Abdulla Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani. The main reason for his visit was to celebrate the graduation of his son, Nasser Al Thani, who received his B.S. degree in Management and Human Resource Management from the CU Denver Business School.  Read more
