On Thursday Dec. 1, Adjunct Professor Yvette Connor and three graduate students participated in the Kaspersky Interactive Protection Simulation (KIPS), a live global competition between cybersecurity experts. Competing against over forty top security firms around the globe, the team placed eighth overall. The Risk Management and Insurance Program at the CU Denver Business School was founded with the strong support and involvement of industry partners. For the second summer in a row, the RMI program has been able to give back to the community by offering a free summer class to local high school students. This summer, 18 students from Colorado high schools participated in the Introduction to Risk Management Careers course and earned a free CU Denver academic credit.  Read more

The University of Colorado Denver Business School will receive a $25,000 donation from The Colorado Insurance and Education Foundation (CIEF) Board to support scholarships and opportunities for students of the University of Colorado Denver Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) Programs. The CIEF board voted to disband after 45 years and split its remaining $50,000 between CU Denver Risk Management and Insurance program, and the University of Northern Colorado.  Read more

Students will stay in the heart of the London financial district and visit the world’s top insurance carriers and brokers, such as AIG, Willis, Beasley, and Lloyds of London.
